Jonker, Catholijn

Abstract
AI can empower us, if the right tools are used to the job. For knowledge intensive work in changing contexts, Hybrid Intelligence, i.e., the combination of human plus artificial intelligence, brings better solutions than AI or humans could do by themselves. I will explain and discuss the gap between the knowledge in foundation models and context, and show an example of how combining foundational models with human expertise bridges that gap. Furthermore, I will show how a combination of Reinforcement Learning with Knowledge Technology can help organisation to create reflective intelligent systems that actively seek to improve the fairness of the AI driven decision making.
